Types
Clark manufactures an array of forklift trucks like pneumatic trucks, cushion trucks and narrow aisle. The different types vary when it comes to the way they are powered. For instance, heavy-duty forklifts used for construction and agriculture operate on an internal combustion or IC engine. Narrow aisle types designed for use in warehouses and other confined spaces are powered by rechargeable battery.
Lifting Capacity
According to the kind of Clark forklift trucks, the lifting capacity can differ. Battery-powered forklifts have a range from 1100-3000 kilograms, depending on the type. For a greater capacity range, the internal combustion types are recommended. They could lift from 1400-8000 kilograms.
Engine
Clark electrically-powered forklift trucks operate on AC battery cells, either 48 volt or 36 volt. The internal combustible engine types have 52 to 100 horsepower engines. The IC or Internal Combustion types have automatic transmission with single-speed, two-speed or three-speed kinds.
Frame/Cab
The center of the forklift is the frame/cab assembly. This consists of the operator's overhead protective cover, the controls and the seat. The frame includes the engine, fuel tank, wheels, transmission and trans-axle.
