JLG Forklift Parts - In the late 1960's John L. Grove, with his wife Cora set out on a cross country trip in their RV. Recently retired, after spending several years working with his brother to build their crane company into an market leader, John had no idea that momentous trip would permit JLG Industries, Inc to emerge. The world leader of mobile aerial work platforms and precision materials handling technologies was the end consequence of a road expedition.

While on their trip, John spent time conversing with former business associates whom the Groves stopped to visit along the way. These conversations combined with a tragic occurrence-two workers being electrocuted on scaffolding when the Groves were traveling to the Hoover Dam- John uncovered a considerable marketplace for a product that could quickly and safely lift people in the air to accomplish maintenance and other building functions.

Upon returning from their travels, John established a partnership with two friends and bought a metal fabrication company in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. In 1970, opening operations with a crew of twenty staff, they created and sold the first JLG aerial work platform. The business incorporates some of the basic design essentials of that original lift into current designs.

Since then, JLG Forklifts have come a great distance from when Mr. John L. Grove came back from his fatefull cross-country journey and since the first JLG aerial platform entered the market. As of today, the company has expanded itself into a number of international marketplaces and continues to cultivate new equipment to guarantee that customers are able to become safer and more efficient within their workplace.
